# Messages: Team Comments and Supplier Mail on Every Document > Discuss invoices, delivery notes and orders right on the document, @mention teammates, write to suppliers and see when they've read it, all in one inbox. Questions about a document usually travel by phone, email and messenger, far away from the invoice or delivery note they're about. With Streckenheld, the conversation sits on the document itself: your team comments and @mentions each other, you write to the supplier straight from the document, and the Messages inbox gathers it all in one place. ## Why document questions get lost in construction An invoice bills 62 m³ of concrete and the delivery note says 58 m³. Accounts payable needs the site manager to confirm what arrived and then has to ask the supplier for a credit note. The message becomes a supplier conversation that stays linked to the document, so anyone on the team can see what was asked and when. For the most common requests (a missing delivery note, an order confirmation, a delivery date) "Ask supplier" sends a ready-made request, and replies with documents go straight into your [document inbox](https://www.streckenheld.com/guides/document-inbox.md). ### Read receipts for supplier messages The ticks next to your message turn blue as soon as the supplier opens the email. Hover over them to see who read it and when, so you can tell "not seen yet" from "seen but not answered". ### One inbox for every conversation The Messages page lists every conversation of your company: one thread per commented document and one per supplier conversation. Search across documents, suppliers, messages and people, filter by construction site or supplier, and switch between All, Mentions me and Sent by me, or show only unread conversations. A thread counts as read only once you open it, and "Mark as unread" puts it back on your list. The person you @mention gets an email with your comment and the names of any files attached, and the conversation shows up in their inbox under "Mentions me". Only active members of your company's team can be mentioned. ### Can I attach photos and files to a comment? Yes. Attach up to 10 files of up to 20 MB each, or paste a screenshot straight into the message box. Images show as thumbnails, PDFs open in a quick view. Attachments belong to the conversation and are never filed as documents. ### How do I know whether a supplier has read my message? Messages to suppliers are sent as emails from the document. No. Team members who are assigned to particular construction sites only see the conversations about their sites' documents.
