Andercore alternatives: supplier or procurement software? (2026)

Andercore alternatives: Andercore is a supplier, not software. Compared with Streckenheld, the building-material trade, Comstruct and Cathago.

Andercore supplies energy, infrastructure and building materials in large quantities to construction companies, infrastructure developers and installers. People who search for Andercore alternatives are often comparing two different things: other sources of supply, or software to manage purchasing across all suppliers. This article looks at both.

Disclosure: This comparison is published by Streckenheld. Information about other providers comes from their public websites (as of October 2026) and may have changed since. If you spot an error or an update, please let us know at hello@streckenheld.com.

Andercore at a glance

Andercore describes itself as "The AI-native supplier of industrial materials" and promises "Firm quotes in minutes, integrated financing, delivery to your site". Its German FAQ calls it an AI-native supplier of industrial materials and goods with a focus on energy and infrastructure.

For a fair comparison, the business model is what matters: Andercore is a merchant, not a software vendor. "The company buys from international suppliers and sells to local buyers on its own account", and its terms and conditions make Andercore the seller. In earlier years, Andercore described itself as a trader buying building materials for construction companies in Europe; today its focus is energy and infrastructure. Andercore uses AI internally, for example for pricing, availability and lead-time forecasts, and for agents that structure requests. It does not sell software to customers.

According to its website, buying from Andercore works like this:

  • Request: by phone, email, WhatsApp or the Andercore app. A firm quote arrives within minutes. It is an offer from Andercore itself.
  • Range: by its own account more than 4,000 SKUs, including PV modules, batteries, inverters, mounting systems, cables, steel, insulation, drainage pipes, fencing, roofing and wallboxes.
  • Quantities: "Andercore does not supply individual products, single units, or small quantities"; goods come by the pallet or container.
  • Delivery: to the site, with tracking. Stocked items within a few days, standard items up to two weeks, made-to-order up to two months.
  • Quality: inspection by TÜV Rheinland, Bureau Veritas and SGS, plus CE certificates, test reports and factory audits.
  • Payment: "payment terms of up to 60 days are priced directly into the quote", backed by insured credit limits.
  • Customer portal: orders, order confirmations, invoices, delivery documents, quality certificates and compliance records for Andercore orders are stored in the buyer profile.

There is no price list and no software fee; Andercore earns the trading margin in the quote. In two of its own case studies, customers report savings of about 10 and about 12 % compared with their previous sources. These figures are self-reported.

Why companies look for alternatives to Andercore

Andercore answers the question "who do I buy from?". Procurement software answers the question "how do I manage purchasing across all my suppliers?". Many searches for alternatives start because these two questions get mixed up. Typical reasons:

  • Comparing several offers. A comparison of several providers and the upload of a bill of quantities or a GAEB file are not described on its website. If you want competitive prices, you need your own process for that, typically a bid comparison.
  • Small quantities and short-notice needs. According to its website, single units and small quantities are not part of the offer.
  • Documents from every supplier. The customer portal covers Andercore orders. Capturing other suppliers' delivery notes, an order-confirmation check, invoice matching and a check against contract prices are not described on its website.
  • Internal approvals and payment. Approval workflows, payment approval and SEPA files are not described on its website.
  • ERP integration. An ERP integration is not described. On the contrary, Andercore stresses that "No new software is required to get started".

The two are not mutually exclusive: a supplier and procurement software can work side by side.

The alternatives

1. Streckenheld: several suppliers in competition, one document chain

Streckenheld is supplier-neutral software, not a merchant. You send a bill of quantities as a GAEB file or a bill of materials, with deadlines and automatic reminders, to as many suppliers as you like, Andercore included. Offers arrive via a web form or as a PDF and are compared line by line in a price matrix, with AI matching of line items, a comparison of specifications and a negotiation co-pilot. Supplier recommendations and a supplier search help bring in more providers. The accepted offer becomes a contract. The guide Quote requests and offer comparison walks through the process step by step.

Then comes the chain for every supplier: ordering with multi-step approval by spend limit, delivery notes by email, WhatsApp photo, upload or integration, invoice verification with a 4-way match against contract prices and early-payment discounts, payment approval and a SEPA file. Every line item is classified automatically into ECLASS, so spend can be analysed per site, supplier and material.

Strengths: competition among several providers, one document chain across all suppliers, rules as AI instructions, a typical two-week onboarding, integrations with construction ERPs such as BRZ, Nevaris, RIB and PDS.

Best fit: construction companies and building-material dealers that want competitive quotes and want to check documents from all suppliers in one place.

2. The classic building-material trade and wholesale

The obvious alternative to a supplier is another supplier. Regional building-material merchants and specialist wholesalers offer what a supplier geared to large volumes does not cover: local availability, small quantities, pickup at the yard and credit lines built up over years.

Best fit: ongoing site needs, short-notice reorders and small quantities. Several merchants can be put in competition in one request; the guide Comparing offers explains what to look for.

3. Comstruct or Cathago: procurement software with ordering and invoice checks

If you are not looking for a new supplier but for software for your own purchasing, there are other providers. Comstruct ("AI agents for construction") runs from the bill of quantities through bid comparison and call-offs against framework contracts to an invoice check against the bill of quantities, framework contract and delivery note; it targets large general contractors and infrastructure companies in Switzerland and Germany. Cathago (in its German tagline "Bestellt. Geliefert. Geprüft.", meaning ordered, delivered, checked) bundles orders via an app and a site shop, reads delivery notes with photo AI and checks invoices with a 4-way match; it targets building and civil engineering firms in the DACH region, including trades. More in the comparisons Comstruct alternatives and Cathago alternatives.

"Not described" means the feature is not described on the provider's website (as of October 2026). It may still be available in individual cases.

When Andercore is still the right choice

  • You buy energy and infrastructure materials such as PV modules, batteries, cables or steel in pallet or container quantities.
  • You want a firm quote fast, by phone, email, WhatsApp or app, without setting up a tender yourself.
  • Payment terms of up to 60 days, priced into the quote, ease your cash flow.
  • Delivery to site and inspection by TÜV Rheinland, Bureau Veritas or SGS matter more to you than choosing among many providers.

Where Streckenheld is different

Andercore and Streckenheld do different jobs. Andercore is a supplier: it buys and sells on its own account, so you get one price and one supply route. Streckenheld is supplier-neutral software for the whole purchasing process, from RFQ and award through order and approval, delivery and delivery calendar, and the 4-way match to payment approval and SEPA.

  • Competition instead of a single quote: One RFQ, as a GAEB file or bill of materials, goes to as many suppliers as you like. Andercore can be one of them. The price matrix shows line by line who is cheaper where, and the negotiation co-pilot prepares the renegotiation.
  • One chain across all suppliers: Contracts, ordering with approval, delivery notes, the four-way match, payment approval and SEPA run on one platform, whoever delivers the goods. Andercore's portal covers Andercore orders; checking other suppliers' invoices is not described there.
  • Analytics across all suppliers: Because every line is classified into ECLASS automatically, spend per site, supplier and material group can be compared, even across different sources of supply.
  • Follow-up and delivery dates: automatic reminders per supplier for missing delivery notes and order confirmations. Delivery dates can be confirmed with the supplier or carrier in one click or via the AI assistant; the answer lands in the site's delivery calendar.

If you already buy from Andercore, nothing needs to change: Andercore orders, delivery documents and invoices can be processed in Streckenheld like documents from any other supplier. If you want to see how this fits your own process, book a demo.

Frequently asked questions

Is Andercore software?

No. Andercore describes itself as ‘the AI-native supplier of industrial materials’. The company buys from international suppliers and sells to buyers in Europe on its own account. Andercore uses AI internally, for example for pricing and lead times; it does not sell software to customers.

How much does Andercore cost?

Andercore publishes no price list and charges no software fees. It earns the trading margin built into each quote. According to its website, payment terms of up to 60 days are priced directly into the quote.

What is the best alternative to Andercore?

It depends on what you want to replace or add. If you need another source of supply, compare Andercore with the classic building-material trade and wholesale. If you want to manage purchasing across all suppliers, you need procurement software such as Streckenheld, Comstruct or Cathago.

Can Andercore and Streckenheld be used together?

Yes. Streckenheld is supplier-neutral: Andercore can be one of the suppliers you invite to an RFQ. Its offer then appears in the price matrix next to the others, and the order, delivery notes and invoice go through the 4-way match like those of any other supplier.

Does Andercore check invoices from other suppliers?

That is not described on its website (as of October 2026). Andercore's customer portal covers orders, order confirmations, invoices and delivery documents for Andercore orders.
